In this article, we'll show you how to setup SMS Lead Notifications

Step 1: Purchase SMS Notification Credits

SMS notification credits can be purchased in the Lead Verification Credit Purchase Portal where you can purchase both Phone Verification Credits and SMS Notification Credits. In this example, we're going to walk through purchasing SMS notification credits.

To purchase SMS notification credits, simply choose the number of credits that you'd like to buy, enter your card details, then click 'Purchase Credits' - upon successful purchase, the credits will automatically be added to your account.

Important notes about purchasing SMS notification credits:

  • Credits do not expire. For example, if you purchase 100 credits and only use 10 credits, then you'll have 90 credits available for use in your account and the credits will not continue to decrease unless they're used.
  • If you'd like to be put on a monthly plan, please contact us at support@leadcapture.io
  • When your credit limit reaches zero, the SMS notifications will automatically stop sending and you'll receive a notification. Upon adding more credits, your SMS notifications will resume sending again.

About SMS notification credit pricing:

  • The price for sms notification credits varies by country and the destination of your leads. This variation is due to different geographic regions and varying pricing by phone carriers. For example, sending SMS requests in AU is a bit more expensive for us than sending them in the US. To simplify the process, when you initially request phone verification, we'll work with you to determine the cost per credit based on the destination.
  • Credit usage for SMS is determined by the number of segments in each message. A segment refers to a block of characters, typically up to 160 characters for standard text messages. If your message exceeds this limit, it will be split into multiple segments, with each segment counting toward your credit usage. For example, if your message is long and requires 5 segments, it will use 5 credits. This can add up quickly, especially when sending large amounts of lead details via SMS, so it’s important to monitor the length of your messages to manage credit usage efficiently.

Step 2: Go to Lead Delivery

Step 3: Enable SMS Notifications

  • In the Lead Delivery section scroll down to "SMS Notifications

  • Flip the switch to the "On Position"

Step 4: Add your mobile phone number

  • Input your mobile phone number into the field

  • Click Save

Phone Number Formatting Tips:

To add Multiple Phone Numbers

  • For each additional phone number that you'd like to add, simply click on the "+" icon and input the number

Step 5: Enable SMS at the Step Level

Now that you have SMS Notifications turned on, the final is to determine which steps/responses you want to receive in your text message. You can either choose to have all responses get sent to you or specific responses. To do this, you'll need to enable SMS Notifications at the step level.

  • Select the step(s) that you want to receive as an SMS notification

  • Scroll down to the "Include in SMS" switch

  • Flip the switch to the "On" position

  • Click Save

  • Repeat for any step that you want to include in your SMS lead notification
