Form Updates Not Showing (e.g., Missing Questions)

If you've recently made changes to your form, like adding a new question but the updates aren’t showing in your lead responses, here's what to check and how to fix it.

Common Scenario

You:

  • updated your lead form and you do not see the update appearing on your live landing page
  • Added or edited a question on a form.
  • Updated the embed on your landing page (or verified it was already correct).
  • Tested it yourself and it worked fine.

But:

  • Leads from your ad traffic don’t show the new question or response.
  • Your test submissions do show the question and response.

Why This Happens

In most cases, this is due to a cached version of the form being used on our end, especially if the form was previously active in ad campaigns or landing pages. The fix is simple.

What To Do: Step-by-Step

  1. Open the form inside LeadCapture.io.

  1. Click into the updated field/question and hit "save form field" or "save response".
    • This ensures the form recognizes the new field as a change.

  1. Click the “Save” button in the upper left corner of the screen.
    • This forces a cache refresh and tells our system to reprocess the updated form.

  1. Clear cache if needed on your landing page (optional).
    • In most cases, this isn’t necessary, but it can help ensure the most recent form loads.

  1. Re-test the form.
    • Submit another test lead to confirm the new question appears properly in your lead response data.

Why It Works

Clicking “Save” at the top-right corner after editing ensures the system clears cached versions of your form on the backend. Without this step, even if the field appears on the page, older versions may still be used when storing lead responses.

Still not working?

If you’ve followed these steps and your new form fields still don’t appear in responses:
