Why Did OTP Stop Working? (And What Does 0000 Mean?)

If you're seeing leads with 0000 as the OTP code or noticing that the OTP page is no longer showing, here’s what it means and how to fix it.

What does 0000 mean?

When you see 0000 in the OTP field of your lead responses, it means the OTP (One-Time Passcode) was not sent or verified. Instead, our system inserted a placeholder value.

This typically happens when your OTP credit balance runs out.

Rather than blocking leads entirely and disrupting your campaigns, the system allows leads to continue submitting, but skips the OTP verification step and logs 0000 to flag this.

Why Did It Stop Without Warning?

If your OTP credits reach zero and notifications are not enabled for low balance alerts, you may not receive a warning before the service stops verifying numbers.

We're actively working to improve this experience with better alerts in future updates.

How to fix it

To resume OTP verification:

  1. Top up your OTP credits
  2. Or request to enable autobill (credits auto-recharge when low)
